First cancer surgery at Southern Hills Hospital after being diagnosed with rectal colon cancer. The surgeons could not save enough of her colon, so she was given a permanent colostomy. She received chemo and radiation up until the spring of 2002. |

| 2005 - October 24 |

|
After being diagnosed with osteosarcoma bone cancer in her hip, had 2nd big surgery to remove parts of her hip and pelvis, along with a tumor weighing 13 pounds. It was determined that this cancer had nothing to do with the first cancer. A very odd thing that a person would have TWO primary cancers within a lifetime. This was after several high-powered treatments of chemo with no success. She stayed in the hospital and in rehab until the day before Thanksgiving. She never walked after the surgery. The pain was constant from back in May until the end. We do not know how she endured what she did, but we do know she's the most courageous person we've ever known. |

Survived by husband, William Billy Ford; daughters, Teresa Terri (Paul) Chesney & Kimberly Wallace; grandchildren, Zachary Joseph Wallace, Joseph Ryan Chesney & Megan Elise Chesney; and sisters, Sharon Crowe & Andrea (Don) Hans. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road, by Bro. Fay Cornwell & Bro. David Prophater. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Joe Wallace, Ryan Chesney, Paul Chesney, Ed Hoover, Jeff Ford & Willie Holloway. Honorary Pallbearers Bobby Ford, Carey Doughty, Don Hans, Tony Holloway & Barry Ford. Visitation will be Wednesday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. at WOODBINE FUNERAL HOME, HICKORY CHAPEL Directors (615) 331-1952, Still Family Owned.
